Description:

This course focuses specifically on treatment planning as part of the recovery process. Participants will examine the benefits of the person-centered approach to care and learn best practices for writing treatment plan components through this lens. This training is designed to strengthen the quality, consistency, and clinical integrity of treatment plans submitted for preauthorization. The goal is to equip learners with the knowledge and skills needed to align treatment goals with assessment findings, establish medical necessity, and develop person-centered treatment plans.
Objective:
At the end of this training, participants will be able to:
  • Objective 1: Identify the role of diagnostic assessments in medical necessity determinations.
  • Objective 2: Explain why a plan of care is needed and how to create one.
  • Objective 3: Define SMART goals and practice creating a plan of care using SMART goals.
  • Objective 4: Practice writing a person-centered treatment plan.
Intended Audience:
This course is intended for LGSW, LGPC, LPC, LICSW, LPN, APRN, Psychologist, LMFT.
