Part 1: What They Are and What Prevention Can Do

Part one of this two-part learning collaborative will explore the latest information about kratom and 7-OH. It will explain what kratom and 7-OH are, how they relate to each other, and their current legal status. The training will include a review of available data on their use and the potential consequences of use. This session will also include discussions around how to learn more and what prevention professionals can do to address kratom and 7-OH.
Part 2: Identifying and Pursuing Policy Change

The second part in this learning collaborative will be an interactive learning lab. A learning lab offers an immersive, hands-on environment where participants can actively practice and refine critical prevention skills in real-world scenarios. This learning lab will focus on the importance of policy to addressing kratom and 7-OH use. Participants will learn about and practice skills related to investigating the existing policy landscape and successfully pursuing policy change.
Note: Audience members are expected to fully participate in the learning lab.
