This training will provide an overview of Motivational Interviewing (MI), an evidence-based practice based on person-centered counseling principles. MI is used in an array of healthcare settings and provides the treating professional with the core skills and principles to appropriately respond and engage the individual toward behavior change. Motivational Interviewing is a powerful and effective tool to help individuals discover their own reasons for behavior change.
