Description:

This focuses on helping to gain a more comprehensive understanding of stigma and its impact on justice-involved individuals, especially as it pertains to mental health outcomes.

Registration will close 24 hours before the lecture. You will receive a link for the Grand Rounds by email before the Grand Rounds. All participants are requested to complete a post lecture survey. Non-psychologists must complete a post attendance survey in order to receive an attendance certificate. There is no registration fee.

Objective:

Upon completion of this training attendee will be able to:

·        Describe the stigma of criminal legal involvement.

·        Analyze the impact of stigma for justice-involved individuals on mental health outcomes and help-seeking behavior.

·        Examine structural barriers that contribute to internalized stigma for justice-involved individuals experiencing mental health concerns.
