Participants will be emailed a link to join the WebEx session approximately 1-2 days prior to the training.
This course serves as a companion to the Clinical Documentation: Writing Encounter Notes web course and was developed as a way to inform supervisors of best practices for reviewing encounter notes and to assist with the development of strategies for overcoming barriers to improving the quality of staff's notes and focuses on the responsibilities and expectations of a supervisor's four primary roles:
- Monitor
- Case Load Manager
- Performance Manager, and
- Teacher/Coach.
Participants complete activities where they review sample encounter notes, address common note errors amongst staff, develop strategies for overcoming barriers to reviewing notes, use trend reports to identify staff, or team, performance issues, and develop strategies that support the development and improvement of staff performance.
SPECIAL NOTES:
- This course is conducted through the DBH WebEx Platform and is intended for you to attend through the use of your computer at a remote location. Therefore, there is no physical classroom location for this training.
- Participants must be active throughout the entire duration of the training event in order to receive a certificate. Alertness and participation will be tracked and assessed by the Facilitator and/or Co-Facilitator.
