Existing CBI Provider Staff Only

This training day will present an overview of risk assessment, crisis stabilization, and safety planning for youth with serious emotional disabilities and his or her family. The following topic areas will be covered: risk and safety assessment, crisis functional analysis, safety planning, crisis intervention, and working with family systems to assess and remediate their escalation patterns. 

**Note: This training is for staff who HAVE NOT previously taken Risk Assessment, Safety Planning, and Crisis Stabilization (Crisis Response) Training **

Objective:
  1. Assess risk and safety issues in youth with SED.
  2. List the major types of risk and safety issues to assess for youth with SED.
  3. Assess a youth and family’s escalation cycle and develop plans for remediation.
  4. Develop a safety plan based on a risk and safety assessment.
  5. Complete a crisis functional analysis.
