Description:

This training is designed for CBI supervisors and administrators only. This training will present an overview of the CBI II and III service rule and the supervisory role as leadership over CBI teams. This training will address current administrative and clinical supervision and ethical issues impacting CBI services. Supervisory management strategies to address current team issues will be discussed.  The supervisor’s role in managing safety for the youth, family, and staff will be emphasized to improve supervision sessions with the goal of decreasing burnout across teams.


Objective:

  1. Explain CBI II and III principles of care and system of care service philosophy and learn how to best adhere to CBI fidelity model and decrease burnout.
  2. Describe concepts of CBI clinical supervision including the clinical, administrative, and quality assurance functions and roles.
  3. Explain supervisory risk management of typical issues that present in CBI including youth and family, community, staff, and agency risk issues. This will aid to improve supervision sessions (group and individual)
  4. Effectively track, monitor, and follow-up with supervisees on priority clinical and safety issues.

Driving Directions:
64 New York Avenue is located at the intersection of Florida, New York and First Streets, NE. Metro: Take the red line to the Noma/Gallaudet University (previously called New York Avenue) metro stop. Walk west on N Street and turn right at 1st Street NE. Cross over New York Avenue. You will see a large clock tower with the number 64. Enter through the gate and walk toward the first entrance of the building.
Parking:
There is a small parking lot with very limited available spaces. However, there is street parking in the blocks adjacent to 64 NY Avenue, but be mindful of posted restrictions.
