This event is only open to employees of certified CBI Provider Agencies.

 

This training will present an overview of Intersystem Collaboration and the Child and Family Teaming process with youth with serious emotional challenges and their families. The training will cover the following areas: Child and Family Teaming Process; Strengths and Culture Discovery; Facilitation Skills; Special Issues in Child and Family Teaming; and building effective cross-system teams.

Objective:

1.       List core components of child and family teaming.

2.       Explain how to facilitate child and family team meetings.

3.       Complete a strengths and culture discovery.

4.       Describe how to improve youth and family engagement, team formation and functioning, and ongoing coordination and continuity of care.

Driving Directions:
64 New York Avenue is located at the intersection of Florida, New York and First Streets, NE. Metro: Take the red line to the Noma/Gallaudet University (previously called New York Avenue) metro stop. Walk west on N Street and turn right at 1st Street NE. Cross over New York Avenue. You will see a large clock tower with the number 64. Enter through the gate and walk toward the first entrance of the building.
Parking:
There is a small parking lot with very limited available spaces. However, there is street parking in the blocks adjacent to 64 NY Avenue, but be mindful of posted restrictions.
