This training will present an overview of the CBI II and III service rule. The training will cover the following areas: system of care principles; Intensive Home and Community Based Service (IHCBS) treatment principles; Intensive Home-Based Service delivery model; the basic goals of CBI II and III; the main components of the CBI II and III service rule; CBI II and III ethics; and the differences between CBI I, II, III, and IV services.

Objective:

1.       Explain CBI II and III principles of care and system of care service philosophy

2.       Identify the main components of the Intensive Home and Community-Based Service delivery model.

3.       Differentiate between CBI I, CBI II, CBI III, and CBI IV

4.       Explain the main service components and requirements listed in DMH’s CBI II and III service rule.

5.       Describe the basic goals of CBI II and III service.

6.       Clarify common ethical dilemmas encountered in CBI II and III.
